The train is now leaving the station

Nate here. Rachel and I have been praying about and dreaming about adoption for years (the "human" kind, not the "animal" kind). The first 2 kids (Charlotte and Phoebe) came back-to-back and kept us busy, but it was another 4 years before #3 showed up. In that time we thought adoption was where we were headed, but it was not to be. When #3 (a third girl, Penelope) showed up, we were met with some shocking news: Rachel had cancer. By the grace and healing of God, the skill of many medical personnel, and the prayers of the saints across the country, Rachel has been cancer-free for over 5 years! After buying a new home, remodeling it (framing, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and finally getting our feet underneath us, we are once again heading toward adoption and the future of our family.
